The Trustees received a letter dated 3rd May 2024 from the Principle Private Secretary to The King and Queen.

We were informed that the review of the Patronages of The late Queen, The former Prince of Wales and The former Duchess of Cornwall had been completed. Following the thorough analysis of over one thousand organisations, His Majesty confirmed he would be delighted to accept the Patronage of the Royal Merchant Navy Education Foundation.

“To receive this news on Their Majesties’ anniversary of their Coronation is a privilege, and we are truly honoured by the close affiliation with the Royal Family and his Majesty’s predecessors’ unbroken patronage of this charity since 1836 – Ms Lesley Robinson, Chair of Trustees, RMNEF”.
